Wow, my very first blog post.
People always ask me how I manage to travel so much while being a full-time student in law school. The short answer I always give is,
“Life is too short to not do the things we love.”
One thing that I love to do is travel. For as long as I can remember, my parents have emphasized the importance of seeing the world and gaining new experiences. Every year during spring break my parents would take me on a new trip, and if I was lucky we'd go on one during the summer too. This stemmed my love for traveling and molded me into the world traveler I am today. I can excitedly say I've been to 19 countries and 18 states before my 24th birthday.
When I made the decision to attend law school, I thought that during these 3 years I would never get to travel. Everyone always expected me to keep my head in the books 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. In reality, I've done the exact opposite. I study and get work done during the week, but when it comes time for the weekend, I do the thing I'm most passionate about: travel.
The key to being able to be a full-time law student and still getting to see the world is to stay organized. I'm all about keeping a digital calendar and physical planner. I use my physical planner to make checklists and markdown every assignment and due date. I use my digital calendar to keep track of time and plan out how much time I should be spending on each assignment…And of course, during my study breaks, I’m always planning my next trip.
The best part about traveling is getting to submerge myself into different cultures. Life is all about having a diverse perspective and traveling definitely gives me that. Through my experiences, I've learned the importance of keeping an open mind. I have to be comfortable with being uncomfortable... because after all, great things never came from comfort zones.
So here I am taking a major step out of my comfort zone.
I started the travel portion of my lifestyle blog to document my experiences, share travel tips, and so much more. This portion of my blog is dedicated to all of my current and future world travelers (and also shout out to those who travel while in law school). I am adventurous, bold, and daring. I love to try new things and experience life to the fullest. I want to share these experiences with all of you. After all, I am a law student by day and world traveler by night.
So won’t you join me on my journey of experiencing more life?✨
